Breaking shackles of old age traditions can help achieve growth

Parvati Devi, along with a group of women (Mahila Parishad) in the patriarchal heartland of Rajasthan took on the age-old tradition of married women covering their faces in a veil, a practice known as purdah. She and a few others came together to convince their elders in those times to allow them to come out of purdah. The bold move can be seen as an inspiration especially back in the day. But even today – at this age – she is committed to continue to work and wants to create passion amongst young women and youth to seek education for themselves, their children and to step out to work for a better life. #BreakingBarriers #SheIsUdaipur
