Me and Kamrunnisa Shabbir were both born and raised in Udaipur. I took up teaching as a career, whereas Kamrunnisa moved to Kuwait where she pursued a career in fashion design and event management. It was when Karunnisa moved back to Udaipur, we realized that we are both immensely passionate about upliftment of women in the society. Following which, I gave up teaching career and I and Karunnisa started to conduct various workshops, fitness camps, career counselling sessions, fiscal know-how classes etc. We collaborated with local but established brands of Udaipur to provide an insight and an overview on the avenues that exists in today’s world for them to follow their hearts or just be savvy with what’s current.
We both are the core committee members of Women Mentors Forum Udaipur Chapter. We have been acknowledged by Dainik Bhaskar, Rotary Club Panna and M-Square Productions for our endeavors towards women upliftment and have received awards like I Am She Business Awards 2019, Power Women 2019 to name a few. As much as we are humbled by the generous recognitions, we think it motivates us to do more for supporting and encouraging women from all strata’s of the society.
