I am a nature enthusiast and strongly believe I am not cut-out for a mundane routine life. I have been fascinated by adventure sports from an early age. I am sparked by the idea of any adventure sports and have already given a shot at bungee jumping, paragliding etc. But things changed, when I went on my first trek which was in Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh, I was fascinated by high-altitude trekking and the wanderer in me came alive. My second and third trek – at Kedar Kantha in Uttrakhand at an altitude of 12800 from sea-level and Sarpass in Kasol at an altitude of 13500 – where I led a team of 60 and 1500 people, instigated me to take it to the next level and trek the frozen Chadar Lake – one of the most difficult trekking path in the Himalayas.

My biggest fear was how to convince my family to allow me to go on a trekking adventure which required me to walk in minus 30 to 35 degrees temperature. So after much pleading and begging, luckily, they agreed. So began my adventure at Leh – where our acclimatization session took place for three days. Walking on the frozen river was like walking on a thin sheet of ice which could break anytime. It happened often when we had to walk in knee deep chilling water where the ice had melted. Cold bites and hypothermia were other health risks that involved in the trek but finally all of them were worth taking. In my group of 16 trekkers, I was the only female and at that time the first person from Rajasthan attempting it.

I am a self-confessed wanderer and I have solo-traveled to many cities and states across the country. Recently I have also started vlogging [Channel name: Fireflydo] my travels and it experiences.
