When I was 16, my father passed away; left behind were me, my mom and my family. As far as I recall, it was the toughest time of our lives and it was for years to follow. My mother did odd jobs to fend for us, to make sure we get a decent education in spite of the circumstances we were in. Seeing her work hard, I decided to give tuition’s to kids from junior classes at school. The going was tough, but somehow I did manage to work, finish school and get a graduate degree even when weighed down my situations and life in general. After finishing college, I took up a job as teacher at a school and today I am the principal of that same school. It indeed seems like an achievement when I look back at my life and how it all began, but with sheer perseverance I survived it all. Not only that, I do have reached a happy place in life and am a happy mother to my 2 children.
