Gaurvi Singhvi

16 year old Gaurvi Singhvi is the face of the strength and will of new India. She is an open water long distance swimmer with a record of being the youngest to cover a distance of 47 km in the Indian Ocean from Juhu-khar danda to gateway of India in 9 hrs. and 22min. She was also the youngest and the fastest girl at 14 to have covered the open sea distance of37 and 17 km in the Indian Ocean in 6 hr. min and 3 hr. min respectively.

These open water swims are certified by Maharashtra state amateur aquatic association under strict conditions where she was not allowed to even touch the pilot boat; eat and drink for stamina by a fish hook and her each kick, push or pull was noted down by the observer appointed by MSAAA. She represents her district and state at the national swimming competitions; and is a proud achiever of 43 golds, 19 silver and 5 bronze medals at various levels and competitions.

Besides swimming, she holds certificates of excellence in tennis, deep sea diving and skiing. She is a TedX speaker and a corporate motivator. At present, she is the district youth icon, under sveep program appointed by Election Commission of India with a responsibility of creating awareness and motivating the people of Udaipur district to exercise their power of choosing the country’s leader.

She now aims to swim the English Channel this summer, the Mt Everest for all swimmers and create history yet again by becoming the youngest Indian at 16 to do so.
