Antra Bhati

It started in 2012 when one of my friends dragged me to a photo shoot. My friend is a poser and loves to be in front the camera, but while we were doing the shoot, I was just playing around with the camera as an amateur, but soon realized a strange connection with it and that’s when I decided I will give this a shot and take it up as a career. Photography as a career didn’t go down well with people from our society. I was pursuing CA/CS at that time, which is said to be a more respected profession for a woman than being a photographer. And my parents had to undergo a lot of difficulties to support my choices, as people would them, “नारायण जी की बेटी शादी में फ़ोटो खिच रही थीं.” However, I am really grateful to my parents that they supported me and allowed me follow my heart and choose photography as a profession. Today, I am a professional wedding photographer and also work with a NGO named Seva Mandir as I strongly believing in giving back to the society. We can break the barriers and bring a progressive change in the society only by being strong, standing our grounds. Only then can we be a change maker
